What is Agric?

Over the centuries, agriculture has remained a core part of human development and growth in order to preserve our livelihood. Agriculture spans from crops, soil, livestock which has been practiced for thousands of years and sustained through innovations in the technological and scientific world.

Agriculture is an art form, a science that brings together materials in their raw state to bring forth new life in the production phase and be used or distributed onto various markets.

In the olden days, our ancestors went hunting for food in the form of animals and plants for survival. Years passed, and they learnt to grow their own crops and became able to live a settled life.

The world’s population has become more dependent on agriculture as their basic form of survival. This may have been made possible due to climate change as scholars estimate.

Agriculture, also called farming is defined as the production of food, fibre, animal feed, and other goods by means of growing and harvesting plants and animals.

Agriculture has enabled the human population to produce food in excess supply and in doing so are able to trade this extra produce for other goods on the global market.

Agric has gone through many stages with many innovations in terms of technology, machinery, and agricultural sciences; this is very important as they help increase the yields of farmers almost exponentially.

Agriculture has gone through many phases from providing families with food to providing countries with their number one export material. For some farmers, agriculture is a way of life which brings forth more life. With this, there is always the possibility of solving hunger.
