John A. Kufuor Foundation celebrates youth in agribusiness

The Youth in Agribusiness Festival is a brand-new youth intervention programme that has been introduced by the John A. Kufuor Foundation, which was established by Former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

The first edition of the festival, which aims to highlight the exceptional growth of young people working in the country’s agricultural sector, begins on Wednesday, July 27 and runs through Sunday, July 29 at Kumasi’s Prempeh Assembly Hall and Jubilee Park.

The programme, which has a 13-member organising committee, aims to give entrepreneurs, particularly agriculture practitioners, a place to showcase their products and services.

Young agribusiness entrepreneurs will be featured during the three-day festival, which will have the theme “Youth in Agribusiness in Ghana: the story so far and the way forward.” It will also serve as a forum for them to discuss their accomplishments and present their goods and services to Ghanaians and people around the globe.

It will feature young people between the ages of 18 and 35 who work in a variety of fields in addition to farming, including distribution, agri-tourism, processing/value addition, packaging, branding, digital/online marketing, dealing with agri-inputs, and financial services.

The festival aims to encourage more young people to consider agriculture and its associated activities as a viable business enterprise. It also aims to foster business connections and networking among young agribusiness entrepreneurs and the agribusiness industry.
